In an area known as a stronghold of German heritage, a tiny, predominately black congregation has been celebrating its faith and the city's African American legacy for nearly 120 years. FaithInSA.com
What a well-written article about a special place which few in New Braunfels even know about. Thank
you Jennifer Lloyd for writing so beautifully about the Allen Chapel AME Church. I might just attend
services there this Sunday. What a special group of people and what a wonderful, long history.
It's good to read about a small congregation "keeping the faith". 120 years is a long time. I'll watch for that small, bright spot the next time I visit New Braunfels.
