The theme for the seventh annual Mexican American Scholars Conference on Thursday and Friday is “Spirituality, Faith, Theology and Empowerment of Mexican American Communities.”
The conference will be at Providence Hall of Our Lady of the Lake University, 411 SW 24th St.
Hosted by OLLU’s Mexican American Studies Department and the Center for Mexican American Studies and Research, the conference will feature presentations about religion, faith, literature, art, music and history. Nancy Pineda-Madrid, a theologian from Boston College, will be the keynote speaker.
